Blood Letting

Today there was the annual bloodletting.
In other words, this was my yearly MOT health check to see if I'll make it through another winter.
And this is the practice nurse at the doctor's surgery, holding two test tubes of my rich A + ve blood taken in the blink of an eye and the imperceptable prick of a needle.

It might have been an action shot had not the nurse been intent on emptying my right arm, but being right handed I had to wait until she was finished.
This was probably just as well because I'd rather not look when needles are stuck into my body.

The nurse seemed rather amused that I wanted a photo, so I had to explain the compulsion, whereupon she wrote something on my notes and I bet it wasn't just my BP reading.
