The Alhambra Theatre, Bradford

Another long over due return visit. The last time I was here I was 12 and that's a long time ago! I went with my mother and friends to see Rose Marie performed on ice and I have never forgotten it. This is a beautiful building which has been restored thankfully and is taken care of. More than can be said for the poor old Odeon next door which has been allowed to deteriorate to the point where demolition is probably the only option. Is there anyone out there who could save it?
I was so impressed by the buildings in Bradford and so disappointed to see how badly it is faring as a town centre. What are the town planners thinking of? Shopping centres are the bane of healthy town centres. I took lots of pictures to record the day but this one is so evocative it had to be - The Alhambra!
