Peer pressure
Well, I suppose it had to happen!
My oldest friend, Matt, came down on the train from London last night.
This morning we took the bikes to Ashton Court, a country estate, previously owned by the Wills Tobacco dynasty and now in the hands of Bristol City Council.
There's a custom made mountain bike trail which is mightily impressive, especially given its proximity to the city centre.
Anyway, thanks to the boys, we had an early start and soon passed this 5K race coming up through the golf course. At the top we stopped for a short breather and time to look over Bristol. Time for that HUBshot I guess. Get it out of the way!
A quick circuit of the course, stopping only to take the woodland equivalent of a gutter shot here and here.
Back to Clifton for a cappucino, bacon baguette and a follow-up double espresso. Barely able to cycle through the massive caffeine overdose we made it home, showered, washed the bikes and then back out, with the family, for lunch at the Thali Cafe in Clifton. Gorgeous lunch with a nice beer and then quickly dropping off Matt at the station for his 3pm train back to London.
A flying visit then but very enjoyable.
Faffed on the computer. Woodland shot, HUBshot, running shot, woodland shot......
Made a decision.
Another blip completed.
A short but enjoyable snooze on the cards if I'm lucky..!
