Be Still, my Heart!

Don't know as I have ever mentioned it here or not, but I have on my blog....I love, love, love the color blue. It is my favorite color, hands down!

Today, I wandered into Lowe's in Canandaigua and ended up following the happy chirping noises coming from the garden center area. Many Sparrows have taken up residence there and they are quite the noise-makers!

I walked along the Christmas displays, taking in all the colors and obnoxious glitz and commercialism. No, I am not complaining...I really enjoy all this! As I walked along, I came across a young teen who was just standing still in the aisle, as though she also was taking in all the scenery. It was as though she "suddenly" saw me. She leaned forward and confided, "This is my favorite time of the year!"

I smiled at the young lady and told her, "Mine, too!"

We looked around at all the holiday overload, then said our good-byes.

I continued on over to the flowers. Suddenly, something caught my eye...I don't think I have ever seen a "truly blue" flower before! I stood in front of the Orchid display, totally feeling overwhelmed. As my eyes scanned the price of this jewel of a plant, I knew there was no way at all that I could justify spending $40 on a plant. And so, the Blue Mystique Orchid will only reside in my mind..and here as my Blip!

I went out to the truck and came back into the store with my little camera. I don't think these beautiful flowers will last long! Please excuse the cellophane surrounding the plant. I am quite short and I was not able to pull the covering back. Anyway, you get the idea! Aren't these breathtaking?
