Stewart Town
We are at Wanaka for a few days.
It was raining when we arrived and rained in the night but this morning the sun is out so we decided to go to Cromwell, I wanted to see what wild flowers were out, ended up walking up to Stewart Town, the fruit trees surrounding the old remains were all full of fruit, pears, apples and peaches and looked like a bumper crop coming on.
I must find out a bit more of the lives and families of these brave people driven by the thought of gold.
The Gold diggings are amazing but I did not photograph them, another day! Tomorrow I hope to come back to the area and take the flowers we will see!
