Rubislaw Church, Queens Cross

There are two churches on the Queen's Cross roundabout. Rubislaw Church is the other one. Queen's Cross Church achieved some notoriety a year or so ago when they appointed an openly gay minister.

No such fame for Rubislaw church (as far as I know). I took this from the lane behind the church to try to get away from the lights and traffic of Queen's Road. In reality the sky was orange with the reflection from the street light. A great example of "light pollution" to horrify Patrick Moore.

I didn't have a tripod, so the camera was perched on some railings, Unfortunately the top of the spire was chopped off as I could not change the angle.

I was a bit tired after the long journey yesterday, and the the roads were solid with cars, for both reasons I did not feel very adventurous. I like the lines of the church against the sky, but I could have done better. The garage does't help either.
