A tasty dish walking
I made it back up the M6 today, and no doubt several other Ms and As as well. Stopped off at the Westmorland services for an early supper. I think Westmorland may be the best service area on the entire Motorway network. Independently owned and it shows. It was starting to get dark as I arrived, hence the fairly high ISO speed.
Before eating I took several pictures of ducks. They are pretty tame here, and are used to being fed. I am afraid they got nothing from me but came over to have a look anyway. I do quite like ducks, even the more common varieties such as this fella here. There are a number of little islands in the pond, so quite a few were already heading off to bed on the islands.
Unfortunately I also like duck when it is on the plate, had this guy known that he might have been a bit more wary and kept his distance. He should live until another occasion, I had Cumberland Sausage instead. Expect the foxes may be quite well fed in this area, though if there is room for all of the ducks on the islands, which I guess there is, the fox would have to be fairly aquatic. Quack.
