Country Born

When I was about 13 Country Born hair gel hit the shops. We were all so excited to be able to spike our hair up without using soap which made it filthy looking and also stopped working when you got hot. I saw this stuff in the supermarket today and it took me back as it is the exact same colour and in the same type of pot (minus the black lid) that Boots Country Born used to come in.

Country Born had a really distinctive (unpleasant) smell, but I had a sniff of this stuff, and sadly it didn't smell the same. I remember going to a school summer fair with enormous Country Born-ed hair and a studded belt and thinking I looked sooooo great.
