Roofers=Scaffolding

Is there anything worse than scaffolding all round your house, well yes I suppose there is, but that is what greeted me at my friends today.
What was worse was around the back there was a pole like piece about 2'6'' away from her back door which she hadn't been aware of when she returned home, had dashed out to the outside loo and crashed into the thing.
The roofers said there was nothing they could do about it, I can't repeat what I said when I saw it, but hopefully the job will be finished by Monday night.

Beautifully warm day we had a nice lunch at a local pub but I left about 4pm to get home before it got dark.
Also I wanted to have a drink and chat with my upstairs neighbour; which we did very well.
