Mosaic Making

I finally remembered to sign up for one the super awesome (and free!) art workshops that my school offers, and so Today, I spent about 5 hours of my life producing the mosaic pictured above. We learned a bit about mosaics and different techniques to use before we were unleashed on buckets of square tiles, tile nippers, safety goggles, and grout! I thought I would have plenty of time to finish my simple design of an "e" with a border, but actually had to stay an hour extra to finish. Let me tell you, cutting pieces of tile to fit into a tiny corner is harder than it seems..overall, it was a very relaxing afternoon and I love my finished product! Now, I just have to figure out where to put it...
