Afternoon sunshine

Or, "Hands over your ears daddy, it's gonna be noisy!"


Very pleasant. Grand Prix on the telly, Ben drumming on the sofa, chocolate cake (made by me and Ben yesterday - no egg goo disasters thankfully) and cream, and beautiful light and shadows on the wall behind the sofa.


Ahhhhh.





Ben and I have helped Steve with some clearing and tidying in what will be our bedroom this afternoon. Ben has been SUPER happy! Helping with his custom made scoopy thing (fashioned out of a milk bottle) to scoop up all the rubble into bags, helping carry big bits of wood and boxes of nails through to the front bedroom / workshop, drawing on the walls with his pencil (which he keeps tucking behind his ear which tickles me!) and helping measure how big the room is with daddy's measure. Even if Steve is only just starting to mix the plaster for the ceiling and chimney breast it makes it worth the wait just to have seen Ben so happy to have finally been able to help his daddy :0) I'm a bit knackered now though. I really should have had a nap while Ben helped with clearing and tidying!

Back downstairs for more drumming now.
