A Little Bit of Autumn

We woke this morning to the sound of a light rain falling. By mid-day it had stopped raining, even though the sky still warned of possible showers, we put the pooches leashes on, grabbed our coats, and took a long walk through the neighborhood.

We were just steps from the house when I realized that my camera was not in my pocket. When we arrived back on our street, autumn was visible. After we got the dogs back in the house I took my camera out front to see if I could capture it. I realize lots of the trees in our front yard are green, but the one whose leaves are turning made a solo statement worth noting.

The autumn weather made this day beautiful. In the morning we gave two of the pooches, Mitzi and Chloe, a bath. During the evening I managed to complete the grading on project that each of my students had submitted this past week. All that needs to be completed now is the grading of one essay from each of my Thursday students. I'm actually getting caught-up. W00hoo!
