Lest we forget

Today we remember. Today I am thankful that I have never been called up to serve my country and put my life at risk - like one grandfather did in WWI and the other in WWII.

Today I tried to remember, but silently seethed as someone in my office couldn't bring himself to stop typing for the two minutes. He might be too important and his work too important to stop, he may not have any respect for those we are remembering, but at the very least he should have respect for friends and colleagues who would have appreciated the quiet to think and reflect.
