Tomb raider

Arrived in final destination Siem Riep and set off for our afternoon's introduction to the temples of Angkor.

First stop a walk through the ancient city of Angkor Thom...marvelling at the gallery of wall carvings and a climb through the Bayon Temple, literally a mountain of temples where you had a sense of always being watched by the hundreds of huge faces carved into the temples, all around you, wherever you stood.

The most amazing however was the walk through Ta Prohm Temple, the jungle temple, where I was amazed at the sheer size of the trees and roots growing out from the temples....

I never watch films, but it apparently I am going to have to watch Lara Croft Tomb Raider when I go home!
