Girl - moon I need to tell you, you're looking pretty lovely this evening
Moon - Always do, just that tonight you get to see more of me. Is that why all these nutters with telescopic lenses are out here?
Girl - Must be.. I just came out of Yoga grinning like a numpty and there you were
Moon - Are you not a bit cold in just your gym gear?
Girl - Well, aye now that you mention it..the class was really hot and sweaty but I'm starting to cool down a bit now
Moon - .. and is that camera no a bit rubbish? I mean if you are going to take pictures of my dazzling alabaster ..
Girl - basalt. You're basalt and other volcanic minerals actually
Moon - There's no need to bring up my skin complaints. I'm looking better than you pal.
Girl - True. I'm a bit wild looking. Is my hair sticking up everywhere again?
Moon - Aye. That's why that dog walker just changed direction. There's no rush you know. It's not like I'm going anywhere.. I'll be back again soon likes
Girl - actually you're moving away from us at all a rate of 4cm a year
Moon - smert erse. if you're so clever where's your jumper?
Girl - aye.. good point. I just want a nice blip and then I can head home for soup and a cardi on the radiator. Problem is my crappy camera isn't picking up much detail and I'm shaking too much to get a good image anyway.
Moon - let those shivers go.
Girl - ya wit?
Moon - Dance about..
Girl - are you a loony?
Moon - Naw but dance aboot like one.. it'll warm ye up. Better still take a picture while yir at it
Girl - um.. (looks around).. ok
(in the dark grass between the lights the girl aims her camera to the sky, clicks, spins, tosses it into the air, catches it and wiggles about. A one woman rave in a very quiet park)
Moon - see?
Girl - aye....
Moon - now bagger aff I need to get my dinner sorted too
