an ambush of tigers
Slept in a little this morning, this early morning routine isnt really floating my boat.
Raced downstairs and jumped in the shower, however there was not any shampoo. So, being a typical man, I grab the first bottle that seems to say the word shampoo on it. Its a green bottle marked vosene and I think that looks like a winner.
I lather it on and think to myself, ooh that smells nice, very eucalyptus and sort of menthally. So after washing all my other vital appendages of which I am rather attached too, peering through shampoo squinting eyes, I check out the bottle.
Oh well done Andy, Vosene Kids 3 in 1 with added LICE protection. Magic. Oh well at least I will be protected at work from the unlikely event of a killer lice attack. I am actually scratching my head while writing this for completely no reason what so ever.
I actually have no idea why lice even exists in todays modern society, I can understand how say 200 years ago, with health issues, wigs etc that lice might prevail. However, why has there not been an advance in medical science that erradicates the beast. Its not like its an important part of the food chain or anything. I could live with the fact that lice exisiting if persay for example, something eat the lice, which then itself got eaten and you ended up with the survival of a rare eagle or something, but as far as I can tell the world could live without them. I certainly dont see any pidgeons swooping on young children in search of head lice.
Where do they come from exactly ?, I mean I know they get passed from head to head, but where do they actually come from. Is it just one kid somewhere in wales for example that never gets rid of them and keeps causing various global eppidemics. Oh well done targuin boyo, youve caused a pandemic.
Anyways as seems my writing habit, I digress, we are couple of minutes leaving the house and I dont get the regular bus, but the one after it. I make it to work by the skin of my teeth.
Now, as my dad would say, ive been playing bus bingo today and on one £3.20 day saver alone, I have used the 26, 14, 16, 22, 44 not bad going. I have never appreciated the public transport system quite as much as I should of in Edinburgh, but I can honestly say to the bus drivers of Edinburgh that I commend you. Who needs these bloody trams. If there was an edinburgh bus that I could get from our stately mansionm the chateuo le ex coonsil hoose, in east lothian on a day saver then I would ultimately do so.
I do a quick half hour at the gym on the way home with Mark and get picked up in Musselburgh by John for the final leg of the journey. Get home to see Eric and Dad before they go home for the evening. (wednesday are holly and papa's horse riding days)
We all watch who wants to be a millionaire together and it would appear that John is significantly more intelligent than the contestants. This does not come as a shock to me as he once did a mensa test and came in something rediculous as the top 0.25 of the population. Luckily he is better at millionaire than he is at changing his frontera's glowplugs as he has snapped one taking it out and he asks dad and eric for their advice (both timeserved mechanics).
This involves them exchanging knowing glances and making SOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhh ttttttttuuuttttuuutututututut sounds (think sharp intake of breath when your reading this). Dad says that he will look at it for him tomorrow but will most likely need one of those "special tools" that most mechanics like to use in their negotiation phase.
However, John does succesfully answer the question about a group of tigers being called an ambush, which is the inspiration for todays blip along with the fact that I couldnt think of anything to photograph in the dark and Abbie kindly volunteered to show of her one piece leopard thingy ma bob jammie lounge whatsits.
Its looks cosy but reminds me of the one piece romper suits that george doors used to wear on that vic reeves show, you know the one.. Ulreeekkakakakakaakkaaaaaaa
On a different note Connie informs me that the small doggie was hit by a car last night, a glancy blow to her rear end, however there seems to be no significant injury that we can tell and it certainly hasnt knocked any sense into her.
