It's a tight fit....
This morning I came across these pigs beside a neighbouring farm/coffee shop. They were having an absolutely fabulous time rooting around, with their faces hidden deep inside muddy holes - and let's face it there is plenty of mud around at the moment so they were very content. On my return this afternoon it was to catch one of them disappearing slowly inside their den easing itself carefully through the opening. They are Tamworth pigs, often known as 'the aristocrat' of the pig world and they are apparently lovable, talkative and very gentle giants. I don't think they realise that they are beside a farm shop and it is coming up to Christmas - but what they don't know won't worry them I guess. In fact they are probably safe and it is the young piglets in the next enclosure who should be worrying. They were interesting as they were quite a different colour from the parents, being more a russet colour and two were even creamy coloured and sporting brown spots.
The day was much better than the last couple and it was great to see the sun out. Our walk this afternoon was fairly brief as I am off out tonight to a social evening run by the instructor who takes Cara's class and many others. Not sure what it will be like but the proceeds will go to Therapy Dogs who will be present at the evening so it will be interesting to hear how they work.
