or....a desperation blip!
Tedious day at work, helping with the archiving and getting stuff catalogued to be sent to the Queen's Remembrancer of Scotland for Treasure Trove-ing.
Unlike in England, the Crown owns everything that is dug up in Scotland, not just precious metals. She has now increased her fine collection of broken medieval pottery by a few thousand sherds ;)

No idea why I photographed this globe beachball with a light shining through it, but that's today's blip...
