Tired of Waiting

A completely inconsequential day today. My taxi had it's inspection. Taxis have to be inspected for road worthiness twice a year as well as an MOT.
Around ten years ago taxis here did not require MOTs, as the inspections are stricter than them, but the actual garage and ramps where the inspections took place, were found to be not of the required legal standard for an MOT exemption certificate to be issued.
Red Tape and careless council officials meant that ALL taxis and private hire cars in the city, well over 1,000 of them, were on the road illegally. That is where the red tape comes in; despite the fact that taxis here are tested to a higher standard that a regular car, because things like the headlamp testing thing, is a few inches closer than the regulations permit etc. we all were given one months grace to get them legal.
Some cars, genuinely, went straight from their MOT to the taxi inspection office and failed their inspection because of something or other.
So any way, as with all garages, you are not allowed into the area where your car is being tested, but despite the council yard being old ant relatively antiquated, they have this as their viewing area where you wait and watch, if you want, the job being done.
Incidentally, my car is the top left quadrant of the screen.
The musical link today, is not the obvious one though. Hope some of you remember this version.
