Straw lady

I'm at home with my daughter today as she has a stinking cold. Luckily she did manage to go to her orthodontist appointment, as she is under hospital care it would have been 6 weeks before we could have got another appointment. It's nearly 2 years since she started wearing braces and she will probably have them on for at least another year or two.

This straw lady was given to me on our wedding day by my cousin's daughter, she has stood on my dresser ever since, (the straw lady, not my cousin's daughter). Next week, the straw lady will be 20 years old, which is making me feel rather old.
