The End of Eid
Today is the last day of the Eid holidays and feeling the pressure to enjoy the great outdoors before being desk-bound again tomorrow, we tootled off to the beach, ignoring the menacing clouds and puddles that speak to another night of showers.
Arriving at our favourite spot, it was clear that sunbathing was not an option. The sand beneath our feet was damp and crunchy, almost snow-like in it's quality, and the sun danced in and out of view. The wind and waves were stronger than usual, so after a very British picnic admiring the sea and bearing goosebumps, we retreated to the car to dig out the kite.
