Levada walks

Another glorious day it was. We went on two levada walks of which the first was rather easy. It was more like a nice stroll through a huge park. The 2nd park was one of those more typical walks along a levada. These little canals were cut into the side of the mountains to lead the water into the valleys and to the fields. Each levada has a narrow path right next to it for maintenance purposes.

The views were spectacular! And so was the waterfall that this hike lead to.
