I spent a good chunk of the afternoon building a Lego X Wing fighter. It's a very frustrating thing to do due to the fact that all of Louis' Lego we have ever bought is mixed together in two large storage containers. So sometimes it takes ten minutes or more just to find one piece. I managed to build the middle block and one wing. Whilst building this L made toffee apples and cinder toffee for the Bonfire Night party we went to in the evening. This was at Julie's who is a very good host for such things. Lots of food and drink, two roaring fires to keep everyone warm and fireworks. It was a nice night and the kids had a great time which is the main thing. More Lego to finish tomorrow!

I thought I'd recall a conversation I had with a 7 year old Eve who was serving drinks. I ordered Louis a drink which was on its way...

Little girl: 'Would you like a drink too?'
Me: 'No thank you, I'm fine.'
Little girl: 'We have beer!'
Me: 'No, its okay, I'm driving.'
Other little girl: 'What's driving?'
Little girl: 'Driving is what men do, women do everything else!'

She then addressed me...

Little girl: 'Men - you hurt us!'

I couldn't think what to say other than 'Thankyou.'
