A New Beginning....Phase 1

Got the phone call at 10am to say the house was officially ours and we could collect the keys whenever.

Loaded both cars with the bare essentials - tea, coffee, champagne, biscuits, cake, wine, kettle, mugs, wine, glasses, wine..... :-)

Dumped one car at the house then we both headed to the Estate Agents. I was convinced there would be a last minute hitch and they would say "don't be silly,we cannot possibly give you the keys to the most fabulous house ever!!!"

But they did!!! :-))))))

So D and I have spent the afternoon just wandering around the house with massive grins on our faces, still not entirely sure that we aren't dreaming!! Unpacked the essentials and ate our sandwiches sitting on garden chairs in the kitchen! :-)

Not moving in for a while yet as we have internal building work to do to create a wet floor shower room for Alan and other smaller bits and bobs, so no panic as yet about removals.

Tomorrow the three of us are going up along with E & K, J, and A and we will have the fish suppers and champagne.

Can't wait! :-))

Today's blip is the moment D turned the key in the front door for the first time.
