October Snowstorm

What a weird day! We not only got the predicted late October snow, but it was a total disaster. Thankfully, I didn't go to work. With the leaves still on most of the trees (some having not even had a chance to turn yet), coupled with the heaviness of this very wet snow, trees snapped like mad. Our yards look like a war zone. It's unbelievable on so many levels. I never remember a snow in October, let alone a major snowstorm. We are over 6 inches at this point & it's predicted to keep snowing until midnight or so. We lost power before 2:00 this afternoon & don't anticipate it returning for a while.
