So these mills are dominant, if you can be in the bottom of a valley, in the centre of Halifax. Now they accommodate offices, visitor centres and various cafes and galleries. All a bit fluffy compared to their hayday. I wonder how many miles of cloth they produced? ow noisy they must have been too!

Whilst there I noticed an old pub nestled under a new a relatively new flyover. The Old Shears Inn It doesn't look like it would have had much overlap with the mills being productive but if time travel were possible I'd like to travel back and watch the workers enjoy a drink at the end of a hard days work in the mill.
