Secret Angel Project

We have a special project amongst the staff at our school. We call it the secret angel project. This tiny treasure box is my first gift to the person I randomly picked to support for the remainder of the year.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do and then I spotted this little box. I took it home and started thinking about what to put inside. I knew there would be words of wisdom and started thinking of quotes.

Then it came to me - a box of treasures. There are so many small treasures in our every day lives and that is what I would share. I then wrote the following note to go with the box:

" I hope to keep this box
Filled with small surprises
To remind you to treasure
Things around you
And see them as
The gifts that they are!

xxx Your Secret Angel"

I first thought of my roses that have such a gorgeous scent! I cut off a rose and placed it in the box with another message stuck in the lid:

"Treasure No.1
Take the time to stop
And smell the roses
sometimes!"

I then left this in her pigeon hole to find during the day. Now I find myself thinking of new ideas that will fit into that little box. (Treasure 2 is already planned for Monday!)

So if you are a staff member of MCS (and you know who you all are) you have to take an oath and swear that you will not reveal my secret identity. It just spoils the fun.

I got myself up to date with new enrollments and class lists for the new year today. It is quite an important job and difficult to do with all the distractions I have during my day. But I now know that I have all forms and children accounted for!

Son K's exams are going along ok. The last 2 are the tough ones, Science and Biology. Just got to keep him focused for two more days.

I think we will have an early supper and get to bed early tonight!
