I think it was 1973, Edinburgh , I would have been 10 years old and my auntie took me to the Usher Hall, my first ever "concert"

Some would say he is one of the most under rated singer songwriters of our time and likened to Lennon & McCartney*

I would like to think that my music taste has diversified over the years but that hasn't stopped the ridicule when asked, "what was the first record you bought and the first gig you saw ?"

In 1973 I was young, I knew no better and was led astray, so what excuse if I go to Newcastle 28 November, dare I ?


*to be fair I think he said this himself during a recent documentary on BBC 4,
a documentary that was recommend by fraud who claims to have been a punk, and would no doubt claim that his first gig was some way out experimental Indie Band , yeh sure !
