The Next Door Nag

Winter coat is on my friendly pony next door. The temperature has taken a big dip tonight but what a beautiful day we had today. Blue skies and warm.

I am lucky with my neighbours. They have a riding school with several ponies, some big horses, a Jack Russell called Pip and a donkey called Tilly. Tilly is in for the winter from dusk to dawn - which means I don't hear the braying at 5am. :)

Overcame a fear today - felt very good about that and I am happy to say that I brightened up a dull meeting this afternoon. In the end it was good fun and there were happy people round the table!

Have arranged a whole day to shadow a social worker on Monday - am quite excited. I am in awe and admiration for the job they do. I believe that if I understand better what they do and how they do it, I can do my job better. Theory perhaps, but looking forward to it anyway!

This will come after a weekend away in Dunkeld with friends and people I look forward to meeting and being with - then a concert on Sunday night.

The Radio Scotland Young Musician of the Year runner up Andrew Waite is from my village and his mum is my pal. There is a TRAD AWARDS concert in Coldingham on Sunday - so I am going to that. I am SO proud of ANdrew. I remember when he started to play "the box". Only 8 years ago - and now look where he is with it! He missed the top place by a whisker last year - I hope he enters again soon.
