Times tables

This term in maths we are having an intensive push on times tables. My son has a lot of mathematical ability but I realised that he is being hindered by not knowing his tables.

This morning we had pieces of paper all over the living room floor and we were playing games with them to see if we could build up his knowledge. We have started with the easy tables - 5's, 2's and 10's. Through this term they will get trickier.
