Women

I was relaxing on the sofa with my pup this afternoon when I began admiring the details of this wood carving. Recollecting of my time spent in Kenya, where I purchased this carving, I thought of the women I met. Young and old, all were strong, full of life, love, compassion. I was privileged to cultivate relationships with many over a one year period. Though it has been eight years since I was last in Kenya, I have not forgotten the wisdom or love these women bestowed upon me. I remain in gratitude each day for these gifts and honor these women by remembering their strength and power each day.


When I dare to be powerful - to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.
