Bazaar

Meet Luiz. He usually sells these beautiful rugs on the streets of his hometown of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. There, the streets are like an open air market - a bazaar atmosphere.

For the past three days Luiz has been trying to sell his rugs at the White Elephant Country Days Fair being held in our town. It, too, is more like a bazaar than what you'd think of as a Fair.

Today is the busiest day because it was parade day. The parade is huge. It seems everyone in town is either in the parade or watching it.

The entire thing is inspired by the White Elephant resale store. This year they donated $1,506,500 to various charitable organizations.

The weather has been perfect. Blue skies, slight breeze and highs around 80. I have been very fortunate to be blessed this year with wonderful volunteers to "man" the booth for my women's organization. It has really lifted a load from my shoulders.
