Trick or Trunk!

Tonight was the schools 'trick or trunk' for the kids. They had a parking lot filled with cars decorated for Halloween and loaded with candy! The kids walked around from car to car, getting a little candy at every stop.

Then afterwards, a school bus took us to the school where they had the hallways decorated with lights, ghosts and ghouls and had the cafeteria filled with different activities for the kids. Jack ran in to some of his classmates and took home some little toys!

Here he is showing his pumpkin bookmark that he won! Not the greatest shot, a bit of grain, but I guess at an ISO of 5000, that is to be expected! The hallway was dark except for the lights on the lockers!

(Oh, and did you notice he's been working out? He's getting pretty 'buff'!)

In weather news, a very unusual winter storm is going to hit us tomorrow. Just the fourth time we've had snow before Halloween in 100 years according to a newspaper article. We did have about an inch last night in the town where I work, but nothing at our house. Tomorrow is supposed to bring 6 - 10 inches of snow with up to 60 m.p.h. sustained winds. More power outages are expected because of the leaves still being on the trees and all of the heavy snow and ice, leaving branches likely to break and take down power lines.
