Without Malice

By aforethought

Twins, Virtually

Just spent the evening watching an old friend play Mickey Deans in End of the Rainbow - he played the fifth and final husband of Judy Garland in a dramatisation of the close of her career, and indeed life. What a cracking show! Funny, powerful, and sad. Tracie Bennett played Judy, and was quite astonishing. The other actors and the band were great, don't get me wrong, but Ms Bennett held court tonight.

I know very little of Judy Garland, other than from a few movies and a few more songs. But in so far as this show is a representation of her latter years, and a reflection of her former, it's a tragic tale.

I recommend you experience it, if you can.
