Hoodlum Hound

I have always balked at the sight of pooches in ponchos or any kind of outerwear. It has always struck me as a silly affectation.

However, here we are just days away from Halloween/Day Of The Dead and here is Apollo sporting the latest in festive apparel. I do like the fact of the big skull on his head (and the spine and ribcage on his back!), so it is at least, sort of, anti-cute. Oh and it glows in the dark too.

Like most Mexicans he has no capacity for coping w/a little bit of a drop in the temperature. I have to say though, that when we need to stick him into it, I let Sandra take the lead, as I can't allow myself to be seen publicly walking him!

Though the look on kids faces when they see this demonised doggy is worth any embarrassment I might feel. They just about wet their pants w/excitement.
