Our life in the Borders

The birds again

The wild birds gobble down the food I provide at a great rate. You'd think they would be grateful - but no. They are the most unco-operative of photo subjects. A lorry can rumble past on the road and they ignore it, but if I creep one step outside the door, they are off.

I don't think I'd do too well as one of these professional wildlife cameramen, camped up on mountains for 6 months at a time for one glimpse of a leopard.
