Because we live away from our family and our first set of friends, celebrating her birthday has become a split affair - Scarborough party and a home celebration. Today was the second (and her final birthday party, apart from the obligatory taking of cake to nursery tomorrow)

This morning her and I had a lot of fun playing together. She absolutely loved some new bits for her kitchen that she opened this morning, had nearly an hour with a new playdoh kit and after i had finally built it, spent a lot of time with her new shoppingtrolley.

I then told her it was time for her party, and showed her the new dress i have got her. She was very excited indeed. She put it on and said "katie show harrison pretty monkey dress" then ran to the door to go.

She had such an amazing time at the party and was so full of it. Huge smiles the whole time. She did a sticking picture, played in the ball pool and with some inflatables and chased excitedly with her friends. A couple of very special people couldnt make it and were missed. But we have had a really great day. Made all the more special by the company of Vic and jayden, then later on a relaxing meal and natter with them both and wildthingsma. But Katie had not slept all day and lay down on the floor at 5.45 and went to sleep.

This weekend has meant a lot to me, to us both. We are very blessed to have an incredible family - both those in blood and those in kind, those here and those away. We've had speccial times with you and because of you this weekend. Thankyou. xxxx
