Return of the Redbreast

He's not been much in evidence recently but now he's back with a vengeance! As soon as food is put on the table he's down and woe betide any other little bird who happens along. I must say though he is extremely smart. His colouring is very bright and his plumage very sleek.
We had a thoroughly good evening yesterday, our friends were last seen just before midnight, pedalling off on their bikes back to to a local farm site where they insisted they would stay in the van. I had a call this morning as they made their way over the moor top. I hope they have enjoyed their weekend away and I hope they come back soon. Bracken enjoyed the visit too and was very spoilt as they were both doggie fans.
Rather grey and cold now. I have just got back from Chapel and Mike is putting on the fire for the first time. A toasty evening ahead then with Downton to look forward to!
