Expressive Arts Day

What a day - all our P.7 intake came to the school today to do a day of "Expressive Arts" - involving dance,art and music.

Pat, Fiona and I had done a lot of planning and preparation for the day. We had decided on a 'clan' theme. We split the kids into 2 clans "Glòir" (Glory) and "Gràs" (Grace). Pat got them to design and decorate their clan shields , and Fiona and I taught them a Gaelic song and 2 routines, including a mock battle.

They done good!

I'll tell you, though, if this is "Curriculum for Excellence", I'm going to have to give this job up. At the end of the day, I was physically and emotionally drained.

However, I had piano pupils after work, a quick trip home and then on to the Book Club meeting. Tomorrow may be Friday, but I also have a gig in Kyle tomorrow night.

I must gird the loins!
