Yippee! Rain!
All in the name of Blip, I was out lying on a wet patio, between showers, trying to take a shot of this wee, beautiful flower, semiaquilegia ecalcarata, don't you know.....
I was almost eaten alive by midges, and I am not entirely happy - about the midgies or the photo.
I've decided I would like a macro lens, especially after seeing Mac's wonderful blip. Mac said it was a 100mm macro lens she was using.
So, I went on line to ebay, and came across stuff I didn't quite understand. There were indeed macro lenses, ranging in price from just under £100 to many hundreds.
Then I came across stuff that said it was a macro close up lens kit.
It's obviously not the same thing as a macro lens, but something which attaches to the camera lens, like a filter.
Is it any good?
Would it be a good alternative, or a good first step for doing macro work, like flower photography?
I would welcome any advice! I am definitely a rookie!
