Chloe and the salt pan.

It's a pity that many historical sites don't leave much to see if you don't know what they are. Grand houses, yes, salt pans, maybe not! Anyway Chloe is sitting on a mound on top of which is a circular wall about eighteen inches high, or half a metre if you prefer. It was used from medieval times until mid nineteenth centuary for extracting salt from the sea.
I made use of a tip from yesterday's workshop when I took this shot! Too obvious to need passing on, I imagine, but I got down to Chloe's level to take it.
