Herdwick sheep

I have been looking for a suitable shot of a herdwick for some time. They are our local lakeland sheep and are very hardy spending much of their life on the fells. They have their own area (heaf) which they keep to, the ewes passing the knowledge on to their lambs. They are born black and gradually whiten over two years. This one is probably about eighteen months old.
