Views of my world

Autumn

The kids and I travelled north to see Christine in Inverness today. Thankfully the torrential rain stopped north of Perth and it was almost dry when we stopped at Pitlochry to stretch our legs. We had a wander round the dam and fish ladder, this view is Loch Faskilly from the top of the dam.

We were welcomed with lunch and home baking to die for, just like grandma used to make. We had a nice walk on the islands that Christine blipped yesterday and had a most incredible encounter with a heron. The kids found it as they were about to cross a bridge and Christine sprang into blip mode as it was ridiculously close. We were amazed then when it caught a salmon out the river and swallowed it whole! Unfortunately I was too slow and my wee iPhone could not compete with Christine's masterpiece!
