What a Numpty!!!

I'm referring to myself.

Our work kettle became faulty today and a new one was needed. In the meantime, I wanted a cuppa. So I decided to boil some water in the microwave and make one that way. I proceeded to fill a mug of water with cold water and placed it in the microwave. What I didn't realise was the mug I decided to use was not microwaveable and so when I pulled it out of the microwave the handle burnt my finger. Luckily, the hot water didn't spill. I got a towel and moved the mug out of the way and then ran my finger under cold water for about 5 minutes.

As, if that wasn't enough. I then went to move the mug with my other hand and did exactly the same. I thought it would have had time to cool down but clearly it hadn't.

The blister on the other hand is no-where near this bad.

Did anyone else have a blonde day?
