Another full-on day at Wakehurst, leading Year 5 children round a seed-based trail then into the lab for a look at the parts of a flower and how they reproduce.

These are lily anthers (the male bit which has all that annoying pollen that stains your clothes!) as seen under the microscope. Not a great shot and pretty low magnification but the children seemed to enjoy seeing everything 'close-up'.
