I like this because..
..it reminds me of trips in the car with my parents when I was small. I think it has a timeless quality about it; this happens to be Peebles, but it has the standard ingredients of small Scottish towns* - river, footbridge, hills, Victorian villa, disused railway line. Out of the picture (by some considerable way), there's even a cafe next to the Co-op that does excellent black pudding rolls.
It also has a suspiciously Antony Gormley-like figure in the water (look HERE!), but I think in this instance it really is someone fishing.
*Such as Pitlochry, Comrie, Callander and others that I can't think of right now. Some of you will have your own candidates :)
