Beginners blunder

It says in the manual considering auto-focus lenses: "do always switch the power off when fastening the lens to the camera body. Otherwise you may cause serious damage to your lens."

I can sure tell you that the mechanisms in modern cameras are very fragile. As Pink Floyd once put it "Be careful with that axe, Eugen..."
