Portobello Chimney Pots

"These pillars were rescued from the garden of Argyle House, Hope Lane, off Portobello High Street. They are made of press-moulded blocks of Coade Stone, a process invented by Eleanor Coade (1773 - 1821). The designs on the smaller pillars are identical to those on the chimneys of Dalmeny House, South Queensferry."

Stopped off at Portobello beach at lunchtime to blow aways those desktop cobwebs.

Saw these and thought they looked interesting.

A bit more ornate than your average chimney pot I think you'd agree.
