Our New Settee

Its not often I boast to the blip fraternity about a really good bargain. However, I've been stuck for blip material this week (something to do with being busy at work) and I was playing with a new flash gun I've bought this week - sure as hell beats the on camera flash! Emma said that one or two people were asking for a photo of our new settee, so here it is.

This is one of two, bought off a famous auction site recently. I managed to borrow a works van for the weekend, so I could go and pick them up and offload the old ones to the nearby tip. I wont go on too much about the hassle we had getting them in through the front door - so much so that we eventually gave up and called out a local glazier. This chap, who lives down the road from us, wasted no time in removing the glass from the window frame (and without damaging any glass at all), helping me offload the old settee out and bringing the new one in.

And the cost..... £160 for the pair, plus a wee call out charge of £40 for the window expert - much less than the double discounts sales constantly advertised on tv.

Oh, and they are comfy too - always a bonus!
