Nuthatch

Now here is a bird living up to its name! I have tried many times to capture the nuthatch on our elder tree to no avail. After a walk in St Ives with friend Chris this afternoon I returned to the hide and spotted this nuthatch going back and forth. S/he was a bit skittish with the camera noise at first but finally decided I wasn't a threat so I could blip to my heart's content.

My first day at home on my part-time post today! Walk and lunch with pals tomorrow, bliss!
